Devlog 2: The Bull has entered the building


We have an ad!

In case you haven't seen it yet, check out the ad for There's a Bull In My Shop! It showcases the star of our game (The Bull), doing the thing he likes the most (being angry). 


How does it all work?

I'm glad you asked, but it's a story that will take a long time to tell. In a nut shell, everything inherits from one main class called PhysicsObject (Except for the button, but that's special in its own way). All of our AI components such as the Bull, Shoppers, and Bryce the Kid all inherit from the Enemy class, which tells them how to move around. "But wait! Won't that make everything want to attack the player?" Nope, because that class only tells them how to navigate, not whether or not they want to slam you into a shelf. Something amazing about seeing all of this is how modular we can make everything. It would be pretty simple to create another unique AI based on how everything is inherited.


When can I play this game?

November 20, 2020! The game will be presented live and launched at the same time as a part of the Florida Poly Game Expo! Come check us out and see what we have to offer. In the meantime stay tuned for more updates for "There's A Bull In My Shop!"
